About Me

I grew up in Hjørring, a town in North Denmark, where I spent most of my free time taking apart old electronics and, less successfully, putting them back together. That curiosity eventually turned into a genuine interest in how software works, which is what brought me to VIA University College.

Why VIA?

I chose VIA University College because of its strong focus on practical, hands-on learning. I wanted a program where I wasn't just reading about software engineering in a textbook, but actually building projects, working in teams, and getting feedback from experienced lecturers with real industry backgrounds. The international environment in Horsens was also a big draw for me — I get to study alongside classmates from all over the world, which makes group projects a lot more interesting.

My Background

Before starting at VIA, I finished a general upper secondary education (HTX) with a focus on math and physics. I also spent a couple of gap year working full-time at both Sunset Boulevard and jem & fix.

What I'm Working Towards

My goal is to graduate with a solid foundation in both front-end and back-end development, and hopefully land an internship during my studies. Long-term, I'd love to work somewhere that builds tools that actually make people's lives easier, rather than just adding more notifications to their phones.
